French for Raw vegetables. Vegetables sliced into strips or sticks and used as an hors d'oeuvre, usually with a dip or with sauces. Crudités include carrot sticks, pepper strips, celery sticks, asparagus spears, etc.

Often served as an appetizer, crudités are raw seasonal vegetables, frequently accompanied with a dipping sauce
