In Romanian: Supa de morcovi (crema)
- 3 qts / 3 l water
- 1 lb / 500 g carrots
- 1 onion
- ½ teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter
- ½ cup sour cream
- cubed toasted bread
- Julienne the carrots and onion and set to boil until the carrots are tender.
- Strain, then sieve the carrots and onion.
- Add the puree obtained this way to the strained liquid and set to boil again, with the sugar, salt and butter.
- Let boil for a few minutes and then add sour cream when serving.
- Serve with croutons.
