  1. In mixing bow, beat cream cheese until soft.
  2. Add desired flavoring and coloring.
  3. Gradually add powdered sugar, mixing until dough is very thick and heavy, but not dry.
  4. Roll in small balls.
  5. Dip in granulated sugar.
  6. Press into small rubber molds.
  7. Unmold.
  8. Experiment to get the size ball needed to fill mold.
  9. If mixture tends to stick, add more powdered sugar.
  10. Mints should unmold easily without sticking.
  11. Place mints on plate and allow to dry somewhat before storing in covered container in refrigerator or freezer.

  1. Paste food coloring works better than the liquid. Use sparingly, a little goes a long way.
    • Yellow goes with lemon flavoring
    • Pink goes with vanilla, almond and peppermint.
    • Green goes with wintergreen.
    • Molds can be found in specialty kitchen shops and baker's supply houses or catalogs. These are pretty and delicious mints for weddings, showers, luncheons, hostess gifts, etc.
