Homemade play dough

  1. Cook the above mixture over medium heat stirring until stiff.
  2. Cool and knead out lumps.
  3. Store in airtight container.

Finger painting

  1. For young children, prepare instant chocolate pudding and let them do creative finger painting with no danger if some finds its way to their mouths!

Macaroni pictures

  1. Have various shapes of Pasta to choose from.
  2. Let children glue these onto colored paper for creative pictures.

Place mats

  1. Let children draw their own pictures on fairly heavy paper.
  2. Use clear contact paper to cover the front and back of the drawing.
  3. They now have their own personal placemat.
  4. These make fun presents for mom and dad for special occasions.

Christmas tree ornaments

  1. Mix and cook over medium heat stirring constantly about 4 minutes or til mixture thickens into a moist mashed potato-like consistency.
  2. Cover with a cloth while it cools enough to knead it.
  3. Roll out dough and cut into shapes using a straw to put a hole in the top for a ribbon to hang on the christmas tree.
  4. Dry 24 hours.
  5. Paint with tempera paints.

Papier mache

  1. Dry laundry starch cold water
  2. Mix the starch and water in equal amounts.
  3. Stir completely.
  4. Let stand.
  5. This will thicken.
  6. Tear newspaper or tissue paper into strips.
  7. Dip these strips into mixture.
  8. Shape over a balloon or into a mask shape, figures, animals, etc.
  9. Let dry 3 days or so, depending on thickness.
  10. Paint with acrylic paints.

Aargo do-it yourself clay that"s safe for kids

  1. Mix cornstarch and baking soda, add water, mix.
  2. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  3. Thicken to consistency of mashed potatoes.
  4. Form clay into desired shapes, let dry for 36 hours, color with paint or felt-tip marker, and coat with shellac or clear nail polish.

Creamy banana coffee Float

  1. PLACE nectar, banana, coffee, vanilla extract, cream and Sugar in blender; cover.
  2. Blend until smooth and frothy.
  3. Pour into three tall glasses; add one scoop of ice cream to each glass.

Creamy vanilla ice cream

  1. BEAT half-and-half, sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until combined; freeze for 2 hours.
  2. Beat on medium speed for 30 seconds; freeze for additional 4 hours or until firm.
  3. Or, use ice cream maker, freezing according to manufacturer's directions.
  4. VARIATIONS
  5. FOR chocolate CHIP ice cream:
  6. Add 1 cup NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® semi-sweet chocolate Mini Morsels halfway through freezing period.
  7. Continue freezing as above.
  8. FOR FRUIT-FLAVORED ice cream:
  9. Use 3 cups half-and-half, 2 to 3 cups fruit pulp, 1 1/4 cups (14-ounce can) NESTLÉ® carnation® sweetened condensed milk, and 1/2 cup granulated sugar; omit vanilla extract. Freeze as above.
  10. NOTE: If using sweetened frozen fruit, omit Sugar.
