  1. Combine rice, water, soy sauce, oil and vegetables in 2- to 3-quart saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil. Stir once or twice.
  3. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer 15 minutes.
  4. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer 5 minutes, or until rice and vegetables are tender and liquid is absorbed.
  5. Season to taste.
