CHILI RUBBED SIRLOIN STEAK WITH SEASONED SHOESTRING FRIES

2 tsp chili powder 1 tsp garlic salt 1/4 tsp ground red pepper 1/4 tsp ground cumin 1 pound frozen shoestring potatoes 5 tbs vegetable oil 3 scallions, trimmed, thinly sliced 1 1/2 pound piece boneless sirloin steak

Heat broiler.* Mix chili powder, garlic salt, red pepper, cumin in bowl. Toss potatoes, 3 tbs oil, scallions, 2 tsp spice mixture in a bowl. Place on baking sheet. Brush both sides of meat with remaining oil. Rub remaining spice mixture over steak.

Cook potatoes on baking sheet in 350 degrees oven* for 12 min. turning halfway through. Broil meat 5 min. Turn meat over, broil 6 more min. or until done. Remove the meat from broiler, let stand 5 min. Place potatoes under broiler 4 min. or until browned and crispy. Thinly slice meat on angle. Serve with seasoned fries. MAKES 4 SERVINGS.*
