Chicken Stock Made in the Slow Cooker
2 lbs. chicken necks, backs,and wings 1 t. salt 1 onion, chopped 1 carrot, sliced 1 stalk celery with leaves, chopped 2 sprigs parsley 3 peppercorns 2 whole cloves
Mix all ingredient and 6 cups hot water in slow cooker. cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours. Strain through several layers of cheesecloth. When stock is cold, remove layer of fat. Use stock in soup recipes, etc. Source: My Old Recipes
