It's not exactly your ordinary cookie!

Ingredients Edit

• 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (4 oz.)
• ½ cup butter or margarine, softened
• 1 cup all-purpose flour
• ¼ teaspoon salt
• 1 cup crisp rice cereal

Directions Edit

1. Stir together cheese and butter until blended.
2. Stir in flour and salt; blend well.
3. Stir in cereal.
4. (dough will be stiff).
5. Shape dough into 1 inch balls; place on an ungreased baking sheet 2 inches apart.
6. Flatten cookies to ¼ inch thickness with a fork, makiing a crisscross.
7. Bake at 350°F for 15 to 18 minutes.
8. Remove to wire rack to cool.
9. Store in an airtight container.
