The Vietnamese Beef Crystal Spring Rolls are made of steak, rice vermicelli, pickled onions, pickled gherkins, carrot, rice paper, lemongrass, garlic, ginger wine, lettuce, coriander and dipping sauce. First the ingredients need to be combined for the marinade and the beef slices needs to marinade. The cold rice vermicelli, pickled onion, gherkin and carrots are tossed together in a dish. The final product is dipped into warm water until it becomes soft and then is sprinkled with vermicelli, pickle, mint and coriander. Another well known Vietnamese appetizer is the Chicken Puffs are made of flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, vegetable shortening, butter, water, egg, oil, garlic, chicken breast, small potato, small carrot, chicken broth, green peas, raisins, salt and pepper. In obtaining the crust, a mixture is made of flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl, then it’s mixed with butter until it looks like coarse breadcrumbs. For the filling the onions, garlic and the cubic chicken needs to be fried in a skillet with oil and butter until the chicken becomes brown. The potatoes and the carrots are cooked for about 2-3 minutes until they become tender. The folded puffs will be brushed with an egg mixture.
