Trinidad Tobago cuisine is very exotic and this characteristic can be easily spotted in the way they prepare their beverages. Either they use fresh fruits mixed together with alcoholic drinks and spices or they prepare ingenious Rum cocktails their taste is always the best. Some of the best beverages here are made from aniseed, tree bark or cloves mixed either with Rum or exotic fruits. Sorrel is one drink served especially at Christmas and is made from a flower of the hibiscus family and several alcoholic drinks. The most popular beers found here are Carib and Stag and these brands are brewed here. Also brewed here are the Angostura bitters and rum. Rum is made from local sugar cane molasses.
