“Beef Momos” is a delicious Tibetan dish made of ground beef, water, spinach or cabbage, garlic, ginger, green onion and fresh cilantro. The flour and the water are mixed and shaped as a ball; the rice is covered with a wet towel for few minutes. After that, all the ingredients are being boiled. The “Beef Momos” is served with a mild tomato salsa made from tomatoes, cilantro, green onions and garlic. “Shamday” is the name of the Tibetan curry that contains onions, garlic, ginger, salt, tomatoes, potatoes, turmeric, bean thread noodles, beef, seaweed and oil. The bean thread noodles and the seaweed are leaved in cold water for about 10 minutes. The potatoes and the meat are cut into cubes.

The onions, the garlic and the ginger need to be fried. Next step is to mix all ingredients together and to cook them for about 20 minutes. The “Shamday” is served hot with boiled rice. “Sherpa Momos” is made of chicken, onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, salt, paper and oil or ghee. The “momos” needs to be shaped in a traditional way and filled with the chicken, garlic and ginger and cooked. It’s served with dipping sauce, something that can be obtained from soy sauce mixed with rice vinegar and sugar. ”Sha-Bale” is a meat pastry made of ginger , garlic, oil, cumin, salt, soy sauce, sesame oil, water and lamb.
