A traditional meal or snack is represented by fish pyramid with green sauce. The fish consists of boned and flaked haddock, halibut or other white fishes, which is spiced up with black pepper, mayo and lime juice. The fish is combined with the green dip, made of pickle relish, lime juice and fresh chopped dill and it is served with hard boiled eggs. Shorba is a specialty made of lamb soup, puree and peanut butter. The meal is sometimes served with rice, for a more consistent snack. There are many snacks which consist of breads (like Pita bread) or burgers which are served with traditional dips, like the Sudanese yoghurt and tahini dip - made with sesame seed and paste or tahini, yoghurt, garlic, lemon juice and parsley. The molokhiya (green leaf vegetable) is another great Sudanese recipe, consisting of chicken soup with green or dry molokhya, coriander, garlic, pepper and tomato paste.
