The Mozambican Cabbage and Pineapple Salad is made of young cabbage, celery, green peppers, tomatoes, fresh pineapple, salad herbs, grated pepper, salt, yogurt, sour cream and milk. The celery needs to be cut diagonally, the dressing made of yogurt and milk needs to be mixed together until it is like a heavy cream. Fresh parsley can be added in the end to give a fresh flavor to the salad. The Cucumber boat stuffed with flaked fish salad is made of four peeled cucumbers, two cups of cold flaked fish, celery, sour cream, lemon juice, sugar, salt and lettuce. The salad can be garnished with tomato slices or parsley springs. The Mozambican Avocado Stuffed with Seafood salad is made of lemon juice, curry powder, mace, dry white wine, mayonnaise, crabmeat or lobster meat, cleaned shrimps, lettuce leaves, peeled avocado, grapefruit sections, black olives, cappers, carrot curls and pimiento. “Salada pera de abacate” or the Avocado Salad is made of iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, two avocados, peach syrup, salt, salad herbs, pepper and lemon dressing which is made of one cup of lemon juice and some olive oil. The avocado salad is mixed with the lemon dressing.
