“Frango a cafrial” is translated as barbecued chicken and is made of salt, garlic powder, ground ginger, paprika and salad oil. The chicken is covered in seasoned oil then roasted, broiled or barbecued .It is served with plenty of rice. Shrimp and seafood in the Mozambican way is made of shrimp, water, and salt and crushed red pepper. The shrimp is boiled in a pot in which three lemons are squeezed. It’s served with “Piri piri “. “Wali wa samaki” is a Mozambican fish dish with rice which is made of fish, fresh minced onion, vermicelli, carrots, seasoning, spices, rice, water and salt. The rice is boiled in salted water. Form a mixture from fish, onion, vermicelli and carrots and fry them in a pan until the onion gets cooked. The seasoning and the spices are added in the pan and the mixture is steered until all the ingredients mix together. In the end the mixture is added to the rice. The Mozambican Shark is made of lemon, brandy, mayonnaise, ginger, garlic, olive oil, shark steaks, cinnamon, garlic, salt, coriander, black pepper and parsley. For the sauce, the lemon juice, brandy, mayonnaise, ginger and garlic are combined in a mixing bowl. The fish is spiced with coriander, salt and black pepper.
