Tea and coffee are the most non alcoholic drinks served all around Kyrgyzstan. Tea is made from a variety of aromas and it is served sour sweetened with sugar or honey. Coffee is generally served without milk. Water is also a very common beverage. As for alcoholic drinks the most popular are cognac, vodka, champagne, homemade wine and beer. Bozo is another common alcoholic beverage made of boiled, fermented millet grains. Airan or kefir is a drink made of milk which tastes like yogurt. A drink which is generally served in the summer is maksym and it is based on wheat.
