Meat dishes in Gambia are made using pork meat, chicken or fish. A famous meat dish in this country is called Yassa and is made with chicken. The process of preparing it is quite simple and doesn’t need too much knowledge in the field. In order to obtain a great taste of a Yassa one has to combine the chicken with lemon juice, red pepper and peanut oil. Its important that in the end some white wine to be added in order to enhance the flavor of this dish. Another tasty Gambia meat dish is the groundnut stew made with chicken, vegetable oil, garlic and sweet potatoes.
