In a country with a rich culinary culture it is quite difficult not to find tasty desserts. In Gambia travelers or locals enjoy serving desserts that are either sweet or salty and spicy. Chakery is a dish served as dessert and it’s made with vanilla yogurt, sour cream, crushed pineapples, nutmeg, and evaporated milk. As topping one can always use whipped cream or black chocolate sauce. Another special Gambia dessert is called Futari. This dish is made with hubbard, yams, sweet pumpkin, coconut milk, onion and ground cinnamon and it taste better if served hot in order to feel all the flavors.
