Because people from Eritrea have food prohibition for at least 200 days on year, most of them don’t consume so much meat. But in the Eritrean cuisine you can find delicious recipes which include meat. A delightful dish which contains meat is the so called Alicha made of sliced onions, corn oil, beef, lamb or goat meat with bone, sliced garlic, fresh hot green chili, gingerroot, crushed seeds of mustard, ground tumeric and crushed caraway. Another Eritrean recipe which contains meat is Tsebhi Dorho made with chicken, red onion, butter, berbere, dry red wine, cayenne, hard boiled eggs, fresh ginger and water.
