Desserts are a mixture of Cameroonian ingredients and French methods of cooking, which makes them some of the most delicious dishes in African cuisine.

The Rice Cake is an ingenious Cameroonian recipe. To prepare it, you mix ground rice, flour and baking powder, cream fat, eggs and sugar with essences (lemon, orange). Add flour and mix to a cake batter consistency, using milk or water. Bake until golden brown.

Sweet Potato Biscuits are another delicious Cameroonian dessert. It is very easy to make and it will take 30 minutes or less to cook. The ingredients for this dessert are milk, sweet potatoes, flour, sugar, baking powder and spices (grated coconut or lemon peel).

Ekoki is a beans cake made using dry beans (small white grains), palm oil, red hot pepper and banana leaves.

A great example of the union of the French and Cameroonian cuisines is the recipe for Soufflet Fritters. To prepare this tasty dessert you need flour, eggs, brewers' yeast sachet, lemon peel, sugar, butter, vanilla sugar sachet, milk and sunflower oil.
