Even though it’s hard to identify any traditional Belarusian snacks, you will find a rich assortment of snack types in Belarus. Most are commercially produced snacks. Peanuts, mostly roasted and salted, are a common snack in Belarus. Roasted chestnuts are also quite common and you might run into street vendors that offer such snacks. Boiled and salted corn on the cob is also very popular, both in the villages and large cities of the country. Roasted corn on the cob is usually prepared at picnics or when visiting family in the countryside. Other Belarusian snacks may include different forms of pastry and baked snacks, such as pies or doughnuts. Other snacks may include:
- Pickled Eggs - Add one cup of beet juice if you'd like pink pickled eggs
- Snack Melts - These are good with soup, or just by themselves for a snack.
- Sticks - They can be appetizers or just a snack.
