Some of the best Algerian desserts are made of exotic dried fruits, mainly dates and figs, but preserved apricots are great as well. They are so great that they are actually exported to many countries across the world.

Fruit salads called Chlada Fakya, are also great as dessert, and may consist of:

• peaches
• mangoes
• citrus
• apricots
• grapes
• pomegranates
• melons

Serve with whipped cream as well as plain.
