This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Chung Estate in Arlington, Texas in 1987.

- 2 pounds baking potatoes peeled and cut into 2 inch chunks
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- ⅔ cup buttermilk
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground pepper
