About Burgundy wine (white) Edit
Wikipedia Article About Burgundy wine (white) on Wikipedia
White Burgundy wines are usually made with Chardonnay grapes, as dictated by the AOC. Geographically, the wine region starts just south of Dijon and runs southward to just short of the city of Lyon.
True White Burgundy is Chardonnay varietal based and have no connection to cheap jug wines that have adopted the name for their labels. The highest quality White Burgundies are produced only in very limited quantities and tend to be pricey.
