This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Love Estate in Sachse, Texas in 1984.

- 1 cup white sugar
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ⅓ cup bourbon
- ⅓ cup water
- 2 cups pecan halves
- Cook first six ingredients together until mixture reaches soft ball stage.
- Stir in pecan halves and spread out on wax paper to cool.
