  1. Cook Sausage in small amount of water in covered pan for 10 minutes.
  2. Drain and cut Sausage into 2-1/2-inch pieces.
  3. Combine Onion, Catsup, syrup, mustard, liquid smoke, salt, pepper and rice.
  4. Turn into buttered 2-quart casserole.
  5. Arrange Sausage on top. Cover.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees 30 to 40 minutes.
