Boiled beef with onions
- 4 servings
- 700 g [1 lb 6 oz] stewing steak
- 4 large onions
- 6 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup tomato purée
- freshly ground pepper
- Heat the oil in a saucepan, slice the onions and cook over a low heat until softened, moistening with 1 cup water.
- After 10 minutes add the tomato puree, season with salt and pepper and continue to cook over a low heat for 10 minutes.
- Add the stewing steak cut into small pieces and continue to cook for 3 – 4 minutes then serve.
