Description Edit

A "drink" similar to Boerenjongens, although this is made with apricots and sherry or white wine. The name translates to "Farming Lassies".

  1. Wash the apricots and leave to drain.
  2. Put them in a stoppered bottle and add the lemon peel and raisins.
  3. Boil the sugar with a little water, leave to cool and mix with the sherry or white wine.
  4. Pour onto the apricots and leave to stand for 2 months.
  5. With white wine it doesn't keep as long as with sherry, so should be drunk sooner.
