- 5 oz/140 g butter,
- 5 oz/140 g confectioner's sugar,
- 3 yolks,
- 1 egg white,
- 1 teaspoon vanilla,
- 2 tablespoons ground walnuts,
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar,
- flour as needed

- cream the butter with the Sugar, add the 3 yolks one by one, vanilla, ground walnuts and flour as needed, kneading quickly, to make a soft dough.
- Make patties about half an inch thick and 2 inches diameter.
- Place on a baking sheet, wash with beaten egg white and sprinkle with walnuts mixed with granulated sugar.
- Bake at medium heat.
