Bean Dip with Sausage

Ingredients

• 1 large onion, chopped
• 1 pound of sausage links, skin removed
• 1 (4 ounces) can chopped green chilis
• 2 (16 ounces) cans refried beans
• 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
• 1 cup shredded Monterey jack cheese
• 1 teaspoon chili powder or to taste

Directions

1. Crumble sausage in a large heavy skillet and cook just until the fat starts to gather in the pan.
2. Add onion and cook until onion is transparent; Drain.
3. Add remaining ingredients and cook until all is hot and the cheeses are melted.
4. Serve hot with tortilla chips or corn chips.
