1 cup vegetable oil 2 t. seasoned salt 1 t. garlic powder with parsley (Lawry's) 1/2 t. hot pepper sauce, optional 12 raw medium shrimp, peeled and deveined 12 sea scallops 1 small red onion, cut into 12 wedges Skewers
In large resealable plastic food storage bag, combine oil, seasoned salt, garlic powder with parsley and hot pepper sauce, if desired. Mix well. Add shrimp, scallops and onion; seal bag. Marinate in refrigerator at least 1 hour. Remove shrimp, scallops and onion from marinade; discard used marinade. Alternately thread shrimp, scallops and onion onto skewers. Grill or broil skewers 4 to 6 minutes or until shrimp are pink and scallops are opaque, turning halfway through grilling time. Serve with lime wedges and crusty French bread. If using wooden skewers, soak in water overnight before using to prevent scorching. Source: Unknown
