This is a recipe I obtained from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Hager estate in Canton, Texas in 1982.

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons butter in skillet then sauté bananas on each side.
  2. Place into dessert dishes.
  3. Melt remaining butter in skillet then add brown sugar, cream and cardamom and cook stirring constantly until slightly thickened.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Top bananas with ice cream and spoon on sauce.
