• 1 c. butter
• 1 1/2 c. Sugar
• 3 egg yolks
• 1 tbsp. vanilla
• 2 3/4 c. flour
• 1 tsp. soda
• 1/8 tsp. salt
• 1 tsp. cinnamon
• 1/2 tsp. cloves
• 2 tbsp. sour milk
• 4 1/2 c. nuts
• 1 lb. chopped dates

cream butter and Sugar. Add egg yolks and vanilla. Beat at medium speed 2 or 3 minutes. Sift dry ingredients and add to above. Add sour milk. Blend by hand. Add nuts and dates. Drop by 1/2 teaspoons on cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. You may refrigerate dough and use as needed.
