Appian Sampler

1 small loaf Italian bread 1/3 cup bottled Italian salad dressing romaine 4 tomatoes, each cut in 6 thin slices 2 pkg assorted sliced cold cuts (bologna, salami, ham, cappacola, sausage) 4 slices provolone, halved 8 large fresh mushrooms, washed, trimmed and sliced thin 1 small can sardines, drained 12 small green onions, washed and trimmer Watercress red and green pepper strips ripe and green olives Sweet pickles

Cut bread in half lengthwise. Drizzle with salad dressing. Top with romaine. Layer bread this way: tomatoes, meat, tomatoes, cheese, meat, mushrooms, and sardines. Lay 3 green onions across top of each sandwich. Tuck sprigs of watercress between layers or around edge of plate. Garnish with pepper strips, olives, pickles and additional salad dressing.
